Course Description
This course includes a study of vectors, rectilinear motion, motion in a plane, particle dynamics, work and energy, conservation laws, collisions, rotational kinematics and dynamics.
Student Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to
- Analyze and solve novel problems using the concepts and methods of Newtonian mechanics in both independent and collaborative settings.
- Investigate physical phenomena experimentally using appropriate equipment and methods, and make valid comparisons with theoretical predictions.
- Clearly communicate results of scientific inquiries in both oral and written form.
